Simone Salvatici

I am a composer, multi-instrumentalist, sound artist, and qualified sound therapist based in London.

My love for sound started at an early age when I discovered how it had a natural power to heal and transport me to another realm.

I approach sound in a holistic and creative manner, blending traditional and experimental techniques. Over the past 25 years, I have studied both Western and Eastern classical music, as well as philosophy and spirituality. I have composed and released various types of music, typically associated with the Minimalist, Ambient, and Drone genres.

On these pages, I aim to connect and unify my diverse sonic experiences — from punk to minimalism, soundscape, and sound healing. I struggled to see the connection between these various approaches initially, but I now realize that they all stem from my deep and authentic commitment to sound.

As a composer of instrumental music, I focus on creating projects that reveal contrasting elements, such as movement and stillness, acoustic and processed sounds, and melodies that emerge and fade in and out of drones. My work encourages a constant shift between two polarities continuously evolving, micro and macro shifting.

I have released many records with collaborative projects Clorinde and Polbrone and solo as Salvaticus Selvatico. I also collaborate with filmmakers, directors, and visual artists and have performed at various venues, including Tate Modern, Sadlers Wells Theatre, Natural History Museum, V&A, Cafe Oto, and the Centre of Contemporary Art Glasgow, as well as international festivals.

As a Sound Therapist, I use my musicianship and aural skills in conjunction with my experience gained from intensive studies, personal research, and immersive learning over the last few years.

My intention is to promote movement, and energetic and emotional shifts, believing that holistic resonance and trance states can combine the spiritual experience of contemplation with the ecstatic feelings of inner truth. I use a variety of instruments, including large gongs, Planetary and Symphonic Paiste and Oetken gongs, traditional Chinese gongs, crystal bowls, Himalayan bowls, tuning forks, synthesizers, and other drone instruments.

2 x per year I offer a fully qualified Sound Therapy practitioner training. Click here to learn all about this unique and immersive approach.
